- You want a portfolio that is unmistakably a designer's portfolio: Format's templates and typography are excellent, and its site design has been its selling point for years.
- You want proofing, client management, contracts and file transfers in the same subscription — Format's Workflow tools cover more of the business side than Lenzl does today.
- You want CSS and HTML editing to make the site exactly yours; Format offers that on Pro and above.

Lenzl's Hobby plan is 20 GB with no image count limit.
Does Format include a custom domain?
Format lists a free custom domain for the first year on Pro and Pro Plus, and not on Basic, as read on 2 September 2026. Their FAQ says you can connect a domain you already own: "If you already have a custom domain, you can connect it to your Format website." Lenzl includes your own domain from Hobby at £6/month.
Does Format take commission on sales?
No — Format describes its online store as commission free. The store is not included on the Basic plan, and is limited to 15 products on Pro and 1,000 on Pro Plus, read on 2 September 2026. Lenzl charges 10% commission on Hobby and 0% on Pro.
