Choose Lenzl if
- You need to deliver shoots to clients and take payment for photographs — Adobe does not publish selling, proofing or client-gallery features for Portfolio, and that is the whole middle of Lenzl.
- You do not already pay Adobe. If Creative Cloud is not already a line on your card, £6/month for 20 GB, your own domain and 10% commission is a smaller commitment than a Creative Cloud subscription bought for the website alone.
- You want Lenzl to buy and renew the domain for you on Pro, rather than registering and pointing DNS yourself.
Choose Adobe Portfolio if
- You already pay for Creative Cloud. Adobe Portfolio is included at no extra cost with a Creative Cloud subscription, so if Lightroom and Photoshop are already on your card, a portfolio site is genuinely free — Lenzl cannot beat free, and pretending otherwise would be silly.
- You want the site to sit next to Lightroom in the same account, with Adobe Fonts and Behance already wired in.
- All you need is a portfolio. If nobody is buying prints and no client needs a proofing gallery, the extra machinery in Lenzl is machinery you are not using.

Is Adobe Portfolio free?
Adobe's own Portfolio FAQ states that Portfolio is included with a Creative Cloud subscription — Creative Cloud, Single App and Photography plans — at no extra cost. Adobe lists the Creative Cloud Photography plan at US$19.99/month (annual, billed monthly) on adobe.com, read on 2 September 2026. So Portfolio has no price of its own, but it is only free if you are already paying Adobe for something else.
Can you sell photos through Adobe Portfolio?
Adobe does not publish photo selling, print fulfilment or client-proofing features as part of Adobe Portfolio, as of 2 September 2026 — if you need them, check with Adobe before assuming either way. Lenzl sells photographs directly from a gallery with 10% commission on Hobby, 0% on Pro and 25% on the free one.
Does Adobe Portfolio support a custom domain?
Yes. Adobe Portfolio lets you use your own domain, but Adobe does not register the domain for you — you buy it from a registrar and point the DNS at Portfolio.
